About this Event
Droplet Dance spring show at Johnson Hall is created by Molly Gawler in collaboration with Ellen Gawler. The show has heart centered creations of original choreography. Molly and the musicians are inspired by the spirals water as a metaphor to find the flow of dance, circus arts, acrobatics, story and song.
Mother and daughter join together to create a fun afternoon of dance, circus, fiddling, clowning, and fun.
Molly Gawler, former principal dancer with the world renowned dance troupe Pilobulus, brings to life a colorful collection of dances that embraces the wide variety of her abilities from modern dance, ballet, circus and mime, carrying the audience from laughter to tears.
Accompanying her will be the Pineland Fiddlers, students of Ellen Gawlerand the Augusta based Pineland Suzuki School, fiddling up a storm with expertise that belies their years. Specially featured are theDayan/Newell Family, 3rd generation fiddlers, carrying on the fiddling traditions of Maine.
