Drop-in Overdose Prevention Training
About this Event
For International Overdose Awareness Day, join staff members from Arlington's Department of Human Services for a drop-in training on overdose response and prevention. Participants will learn how to recognize the signs of an overdose, when and how to administer Narcan (naloxone), and what steps to take in an emergency.
Staff will also share information about overdose prevention and answer participants’ questions. Free Narcan kits will be available while supplies last.
This program takes place before the Overdose Awareness Vigil, hosted on Courthouse Plaza at 7 p.m.
Free Narcan can also be picked up at the County's Crisis Intervention Center at 2120 Washington Blvd., Arlington VA 22204 or delivered through the mail to Arlington County residents: Overdose Reversal & Naloxone – Official Website of Arlington County Virginia Government
