Drop In Improv

What’s the class like?

We’ll first start off in the lobby to make sure no one is lost before heading down in the studio. I ask that you sign a waiver that basically states to not be a jerk in class, to respect the studio, and to not sue me if you get injured. I don’t know how you would injure yourself, but I’m always amazed by people.

Once in the studio, we’ll start with warm up games, followed by either party games or scene work. We’ll end with one final close out game and then probably head to Kasey’s for drinks!

I know, I know it’s not a lot of details, but you’ll just have to come and see!

Why should I trust you to teach me the golden art of improv?

Fair question! I’ve done improv for over 10 years now. During that time, I’ve won the National Improv College Tournament, toured for two years, graduated The Second City conservatory, and graduated The Annoyance. Professionally, I’ve taught improv at The California Institute of the Arts and College of DuPage (fall 2022). I was also the Associate Artistic Director at Curious Comedy Theatre, ran the All Jane Comedy Festival in Portland, OR as well as the Femprovisor Fest in San Francisco. So hopefully that will put you at ease!
