The Artisan Copper Hoop Experience

This workshop is a 1 hour taster workshop in conjunction with Peterborough Artist Open Studios.

All materials and use of tools are included in the cost of the class!

This course is based around basic wirework and is a fun activity for all ages and skill levels.

Come and have a go at creating your own amazing piece of jewellery, whether you are making it for you or for someone special. This is a gorgeous little class that all the family can enjoy together!

Craft Your Signature Silhouette

Elevate the classic hoop by learning the art of wire-weaving and crystal embellishment. In this creative workshop, you will transform solid copper wire into a pair of elegant, professional-standard Crystal Hoops.

This session is all about the balance between the warm, metallic glow of copper and the vibrant sparkle of crystals. Whether you want a delicate accent or a bold, beaded statement, you’ll learn the techniques to make it happen.

The best part of a handmade piece is making it your own. We provide a varied selection of shimmering crystal beads for you to choose from at the bench

• Forming the Hoop: Learn how to shape and harden copper wire into perfectly matched circles.
• Wire Drop-bead Techniques: The secrets to securely wrapping crystals into a perfect drop bead for a seamless, high-end finish.
• Handcrafted Ear Wires: How to create your own comfortable hooks from scratch.

No previous experience is necessary

The size of the classes is kept small to allow plenty of one-on-one attention and the maximum number of students for this class is 9.

Please make sure you arrive before the start time, as this class is step-by-step, and if you miss the beginning, you will not be able to catch up!
