Update: We had to switch days from 2/14 to 2/21 due to Valentines Day. Too many people were out of town this week and the Facebook Poll was a tie, so I picked 2/21. We could do an informal meet up on Friday at Parallel 45, The Valkyrie, or the Inferno, if anyone still wants to meet on this Friday, too.It really helps us to have RSVPs for this event, so they can setup the right number of tables for us in the event room. Please respond to this event to let us know if you are coming.
There is no requirement that folks will buy food, but it is available.

This group is a loose gathering of liberals, leftists, progressives, socialists, or whatever you call yourself as long as it is left of center. We have a lot of Polk County Democrats who attend, but this group is not limited to Democrats. As a matter of fact, it can make for better discussions when we have some diversity of opinion.
We will have introductions and any announcements anyone wants to share and then everyone will be free to chat. If folks want to break up into topic groups, they can, or move around to different groups, or folks can just have a drink and talk to whoever sat down next to them. It is really an informal gathering. People are welcome to come and go as they choose. The meeting is scheduled for 5:30-7:30, but everyone decides for themselves when they need to arrive or head home. Some folks stay later than 7:30.
The Inferno is a restaurant, but there is no requirement to buy food. Soda, Beer, Cider, and mixed drinks are served. They have a small wine selection. As a restaurant, they do not allow outside food or alcohol.
