Helene Cronin & Drew Kennedy on stage together sharing their favorite songs and the stories behind them. Show at 8pm, Doors at 7:30. Come early for "Social Hour" at 6:30.Drew Kennedy’s career spans two and a half decades, 11 albums, one novel, and millions of miles as a singer, songwriter and traveling troubadour, cultivating the kind of wild artistic freedom only sown by a rare blend of grassroots trust and industry approval. Raised outside of Philadelphia, Kennedy played baseball in college in Virginia, then found his way to New Braunfels, Texas, nestled between two rivers and San Antonio and Austin. Nashville called next, and while Kennedy and his wife Holly, an artist and art teacher, have opted to raise their family in the Texas Hill Country, Kennedy spends a lot of time in Tennessee writing in Music Row publishing houses. Entrepreneurial and a believer in deep ties to places and people, he’s also launched the Red River Songwriters’ Festival and the Marathon Songwriters Festival. Kennedy’s 11th studio album, released in May 2025, consists solely of new songs Kennedy wrote alone, which he called “such a challenge artistically that the end result is beyond my wildest dreams.”
Texas artist and 2018 Kerrville New Folk Winner, Helene calls herself a story-singer. She shares her life through emotionally honest songwriting inviting her listeners into the storybook. Her vulnerability and the intricate detail in her writing make her songs highly relatable to audiences. Her style is a merger between the raw roots of Americana and the polished song-craft of Nashville's Country. Never setting out to be a star, songwriting brought her to the stage.
Helene is currently celebrating the recent release of her song “Speaking Terms” on Ella Langley’s record-breaking new album DANDELION. Helene has spent the last 23 years traveling back and forth to Nashville to record, and to write for and with other artists. She has had songs recorded by Cody Johnson, Bryan Martin, and many independent artists. Her 3rd full-length album "Maybe New Mexico" was released in March '25 to rave reviews.
