Dreams & The Inner Landscape
About this Event
Dreams & the Inner Landscape
Dreams are so much more than strange stories that unfold while we sleep. Rich in symbolism, emotion, memory and archetype, dreams can offer a gateway into the subconscious mind — revealing new perspectives, supporting emotional healing, inspiring creativity and helping us connect more deeply with ourselves.
Dreams & the Inner Landscape is an interactive 2½-hour workshop offering a welcoming and inclusive space to explore the fascinating world of dreams together. Whether you remember your dreams vividly, wake with only occasional fragments, or rarely remember them at all, this workshop is designed to give you practical and accessible ways to begin working with your dreaming mind.
What You’ll Explore
During our time together, we’ll explore:
- The symbolic language of dreams — discovering how dreams communicate through images, symbols, metaphor, archetype and emotional tone.
- Why we dream — exploring dreaming from both scientific and spiritual perspectives, including emotional processing, problem-solving, creativity and intuitive insight.
- Different types of dreams — including recurring and thematic dreams, prophetic and visitation dreams, lucid and astral dreams, and shadow dreams.
- Dreams, creativity and inspiration — discovering how dreams have inspired breakthroughs in science, art, music and literature, and how we can access our own dreaming creativity.
- Understanding your own dream symbolism — learning to look beyond rigid dream-dictionary definitions and explore your personal associations, emotions and experiences.
- Dream recall and journalling — practical ways to remember more of your dreams, recognise recurring themes and develop an ongoing relationship with your dreaming mind.
- Working with intention and seeding dreams — exploring ways to consciously invite dreams to offer insight, creative inspiration or possible solutions to problems.
- Herbs and dreamwork — an introduction to traditional herbs associated with dreaming and dream recall.
- Guided meditation: The Dream Doorway — a gentle visualisation inviting you to enter your own inner landscape and encounter the symbols, messages or archetypal figures that emerge.
Rather than relying on fixed interpretations of what a particular dream or symbol is supposed to mean, you’ll be encouraged to become curious about your own inner language: what you see, what you feel, what you associate with an image and what your dreams may be communicating specifically to you.
We’ll explore how symbolism, archetype, emotion, personal experience and intuition can work together to help you develop your own relationship with your dreams.
Most importantly, this is an interactive workshop. You’ll have opportunities to reflect on your own experiences, ask questions, share observations and experiment with practical dreamwork techniques in a supportive environment.
Who Is This Workshop For?
Everyone is welcome, whatever your level of experience or knowledge of dreams, symbolism or archetypes.
You might already keep a dream journal, be fascinated by a recurring dream, want to understand why certain dreams stay with you for years, be curious about lucid or spiritual dream experiences, or simply want to remember more of what happens while you sleep.
You don’t need to remember your dreams regularly, understand symbolism or have any previous experience of dreamwork. Curiosity and a willingness to explore are enough.
