About this Event
Dream Weavers Workshop
Come join us at the Columbus Park of Roses for a magical day of creativity and discovery. This workshop is perfect for anyone looking to explore their artistic side and learn the art of circle process. Our instructor, Willow, will guide you through the process of creating your own beautiful dreamcatcher to take home with you. No experience is necessary.
In this gathering we will each learn how to weave our own dreamcatcher talisman. As we learn this traditional weaving practice, guided by Willow, we will enter into a kind of collective meditation that is naturally brought on by the act of weaving while seated within the structure of the sacred circle. We will discuss the teachings of the Sacred Wheel (Medicine Wheel) and how they show up for us individually and collectively through the medicine of weaving dreamcatchers. We will learn about the significance and practical utility of the dreamcatcher as a mystic tool. We will learn about how to be guided by the medicine of Grandmother Spider who brings the teaching of weaving healthy relations within our lives– with ourselves, with Mother Earth/Great Spirit, and with all of our relations.
Please bring a blanket to be comfortably seated on the ground for up to 1-3hrs. If you have any items that are wanting to be weaved into your dreamcatchers then please do bring those with you! (Feathers, stones, beads, cordage, etc.) I will provide hoops, cordage, and feathers that I have collected and weaved, but you are encouraged to bring any items that inspire you!
Please bring your willingness to discover the collective weaving, which means being conscious and courteous when others are sharing their minds and hearts, trying to listen, and then sharing your truth as it relates to the common thread of discussion that emerges naturally. This is a crafting workshop, but it’s also a workshop on how to participate in a cohesive circle process, which we lovingly call– “discovering the common thread.”
This workshop is offered on a suggested donation of $20. If you can't afford the full amount, don't let that stop you from coming. Your offering doesn't have to necessarily be monetary, but if you can afford it, then please consider helping me to continue offering these kinds of workshops. Thank you for your support.
Please RSVP with me so I know how many hoops I need to bring and so I can direct message you our exact location within the park, thank you!
Looking forward to weaving some magic with you!
