Witness the transformative power of the arts as a platform for community, skill-building and mutual empowerment, as Gather:Make:Shelter works toward community-led solutions for people experiencing houselessness and poverty.

Throughout the evening we’ll celebrate the stories and milestones of the last year, and look ahead to future growth. We look forward to sharing an evening of delicious food, meaningful conversation, and collective impact in support of Gather:Make:Shelter.

The evenings festivities will include:

• Powerful Storytelling: Throughout the evening, we’ll connect through stories of resilience, empowerment, and the transformative power of community
• Live Auction: Bid on unique experiences that bring people together, where every winning bid directly supports our mission of empowering houseless individuals through the arts.
• Live Music: Throughout the evening we'll be treated to live musical performances by the incredibly accomplished pianists Yoko Greeney and Susan DeWitt Smith.
• Inspiring Community: Mingle with fellow supporters, artists, and advocates in an atmosphere of shared commitment to making a difference.

A Culinary Experience to Savor by Chef Sarah Marguier

Prepare for an unforgettable culinary experience at our upcoming fundraiser, featuring a beautifully crafted menu by GMS’s own French chef, Sarah Marguier. The evening will begin with a selection of elegant hors d'oeuvres, setting the stage for a thoughtfully curated plated meal showcasing Sarah’s signature creativity, attention to detail, and use of fresh, seasonal ingredients.

Sarah’s culinary artistry, combined with the warmth of community and the spirit of Gather:Make:Shelter, will make this dining experience as meaningful as it is delicious.

Introducing Our Musical Guests!

Yoko Greeney • Collaborative pianist and chamber music visionary, Yoko Greeney is "one of the most significant members in Portland’s classical music scene," (Oregon ArtsWatch) contributing through a multifaceted career of directing, performing, and teaching. Yoko is the Co-Founder and Director of SoundsTruck NW, our collaborator for our fashion show Midsummer Night’s Dream Machine last summer!

Susan DeWitt Smith • Dr Smith is both a soloist and chamber musician who has performed with the Oregon Symphony, Portland’s Columbia Symphony, San Diego Symphony, San Diego Chamber Orchestra, and the Dartmouth Symphony orchestra. In addition to co-founding the Nelson Chamber Music Festival in New Zealand, Susan is the Lewis & Clark College Department Chair, Associate Professor of Music, and Director of Piano.
