About this Event
Dream Theater Workshop: Embodying the Wisdom of Your Dreams
In this two-hour, in-person workshop, we’ll gather in a safe and playful container to bring our dreams to life through a process called Dream Theater, which is a creative, communal form of dreamwork that brings the dream from the head to the heart, via the body.
No acting or performance experience is needed, and all physical abilities are welcome and celebrated. Dream Theater is not about performance - there is no audience. Everyone participates in every dream theater exercise.
While sitting in a circle and talking about dreams is a great tool for deeper understanding of the unconscious wisdom that lives in every dream, acting out a dream with fellow dreamers can be truly transformational . Our dreams hold tremendous wisdom for not just the dreamer, but also the greater collective.
Together, we’ll explore how to embody the images, feelings, and archetypes of our dreams through improvisation and intuitive play. As we play a role in our own and/or another’s dream, layers of meaning will emerge that often remain hidden in traditional talking dreamwork. Every participant becomes both storyteller and sacred mirror, illuminating the deep wisdom that dreams carry for our healing and wholeness.
In this workshop, you will:
• Experience dreams as living, embodied stories
• Explore symbolic and archetypal wisdom through movement and play
• Deepen your capacity for creative expression and intuitive insight
• Discover the healing power of witnessing and being witnessed in community
