Dream Out Loud : Celebration to benefit MLK Community Healthcare
About this Event
Since its opening in 2015, the MLK Community has recognized a unique opportunity: to reinvent the delivery of care in safety-net communities. Our goal is to provide care equal to that found in more affluent areas, and that commitment is reflected in everything we do. From our beautiful, state-of-the-art facilities to our best-in-class technology, systems and operations, to our mission-driven providers from the nation’s leading academic centers, we have established an intentional, quality-driven healthcare culture to address South LA’s most pressing health problems.
This event will celebrate our successes while raising funds and entertaining the audience with amazing local talent at an historical and iconic venue in the heart of the Leimert Park Village, the only Black-owned shopping and entertainment district in Los Angeles.
Pull up to The Barbara Morrison Performing Arts Center on August 22nd, and be entertained with spoken word artists; vocalists; live musicians and art. The evening will include entertainment, a reception, and your opportunity to invest in the MLK Community Healthcare, dubbed a "State-of-the-art" oasis of care in a healthcare desert, by CNN.
Artists include: THEKarenA, Richard 88 Fingers Turner, Jr.; Zaire King; Rene Fisher Mims (Mama Nene); Brigitte Rios Purdy; Lorenzo Words, and more.
