DRAWING THE CONTEMPORARY FIGURE AND PORTRAITwith Alexandra Beteeva & Anuschka Barlas
We will draw from a ???? ?????, approaching drawing as a way of paying sustained and open-minded attention to a subject outside of ourselves, and using drawing as a valuable tool to learn about the world.
Our sessions will be aimed at learning the ???????? ?? ???????????? ??????? ???? ? ????? ?? ??? ????? ?????? ?? ?????. The development of traditional drawing skills will be supplemented by exploring the possibilities for ‘transforming observation’, and looking at more ??????????? ??? ??????????? ?????????? ?? ??? ??????? ??????????? ?? ???? ????????.
In addition to short and long poses, we will also look at a broad range of ???????????? ??? ??????????? ??????? ??? ???? ???? ?????????? ?? ??? ????? ???? ?? ? ???????. Students will be encouraged to experiment with mediums and techniques, ranging from charcoal to ink and colour, exploring a variety of mark-making considering linear and tonal approaches.
