About this Event

DRAWING - PORTRAIT AND FIGURE (3 WEEKS EACH)

Tuesdays, 1/24 - 2/28

9:30am - 12:30pm

Lower Epperson Auditorium. Enter from East side lower entrance.

Emphasis on the head and shoulders of the model for the first three weeks. Drawing the gesture and the contour line, completion of the composition with full value, utilizing light sources. Emphasis will be on building skills involving “seeing” the head and shoulders as a gesture and as a whole, as well as “feeling” the energy and personality of the model, and finally building confidence in rendering a “likeness” of the model. Three weeks will be spent drawing the nuke model using gesture, contour and value. Emphasis will be on seeing the figure as a whole and feeling the energy of the model. Students will develop skills to describe and define figure forms.

The instructor will contact registered students regarding supplies needed.
