Drawing and Painting Sonoran Desert Cactus Flowers

In 2017 I accidentally fell in love with the Sonoran Desert of Tucson, AZ. I thought the desert was a dry, brown place devoid of life but I was so wrong! I've learned in my hiking adventures and exploring more of Arizona that the desert is a beautiful, colorful place with an abundance of life.

I want to share the beauty I've found with you through this class of drawing and painting cactus flowers in my playful, realistic style.

This class is suitable for all skill levels, from beginners to experienced painters. I will cover basic watercolor techniques, break down how to "draw what you see" while sketching, go over the basics of color theory and how to mix and match paint colors.

All materials will be provided. Monterey Court has a full bar and restaurant menu that you can order from before, during, or after your workshop. Live music starts at 6pm.
