About this Event

During this momentum  Adama Keïta and Henrique J. Paris will be engaging in an open and interactive  conversation on the crossroads  of  drawing a curatorial landscape through  Stuart Hall's essays on the foundation of cultural studies ( 1990 - 2000 ) . The speakers will discuss the subtle and dense links between the artists  body of work and the curator's thinking in relation to the selected essays for the exhibition “ weaving through sonorities “ .

Adama and Henrique  will be discussing ideas surrounding  themes of culture , race and representation  extracted from Stuart Hall critical essay , and  in continuity to this :  how the curatorial process becomes a form of translation , translating   Hall’s thinking  into a visual  and materialized experience that encourages different  interpretations and reflections.
