Draw The Figure: An Introductory 5 Week Course

During these 5 weekly evening classes you will explore the art of drawing the human figure from a live nude model. Whether you're an absolute beginner or a more confident improver, this is a great opportunity to practise your skills and meet like-minded people.

Liz is an experienced figurative artist and drawing tutor, who'll guide you through a variety of simple techniques and exercises to help kick-start your Life Drawing journey, as well as help improve your overall drawing skills.

Each class will include a combination of quick, dynamic poses, demonstrations from Liz, and the opportunity to practise what you've learnt with longer poses. You will also be encouraged to share and discuss your work in supportive group reflections.

Please note the following when booking onto this course:

• Spaces are limited to 8 people, therefore early booking is advisable.
• All materials, including paper and drawing boards will be provided.

Info: In this first session you will focus on the tricky question of where to start when it comes to drawing a figure.

Info: An opportunity to work further on the skills and knowledge gained in the first two sessions.

Info: You'll learn a technique that will literally teach you how to see. It's also great fun!

Info: In this last session, you will explore the centrepiece and foundation of good technique - gesture drawing.
