This course covers basic to intermediate draping techniques including:
Preparing and marking the dress form
Draping bodices, skirts, and sleeves
Manipulating fabric to create pleats, gathers, and twists
Translating drapes into paper patterns
Whether you're an aspiring designer or expanding your technical skills,
this course builds confidence in visualizing and constructing garments
with precision and creativity.
Prerequisites: Basic sewing skills are helpful but not required.
Materials: A supply list will be provided upon registration. Dress forms will be
available in class. Cost $600 for 6 week course 3 hours each class total 18hrs.
