For all ages 1st grade and up, adults are included and encouraged. Attending all day is preferred but you are welcome to attend any days you are available. Our Drama Camp will help set the stage for our December Christmas play on Dec. 6, 7 and 8. Sarah Wingo, professional dancer and daughter of our music director, Burton Bumgarner, will be joining us from New York. Don’t worry – you won’t have to dance. Sarah will facilitate theater games and improv. Burton and Jill will be working with scenes from our Christmas play script, “Mill Town Christmas”. Snacks will be provided.
Sarah is a 2006 graduate of the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. She earned a BFA in dance. She performed in three Broadway tours of the musical “Cats” and in the Broadway tour of “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels”. She appeared in regional productions of “Beauty and the Beast”, “Cabaret”, “Guys and Dolls” and “Twelfth Night”. She is currently performing in the off-Broadway improv company Pie Town. She has also modeled, as well as appeared in commercials, television and movies. Sarah is currently on the faculties of the Alvin Ailey School and the Dance Theater of Harlem where she teaches modern dance and ballet to various age groups.
