Come join us for a fun-filled day celebrating all things flute at the Harmon Fine Arts Center! This event is specifically geared toward high school students and anyone who loves the flute is welcome. Enjoy workshops, performances, and networking with fellow flute enthusiasts. Don't miss out on this exciting opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of flute music!

Schedule:

• 9 am: Check-in Harmon Fine Arts Center (FAC) - lobby of the Performing Arts Hall

• 10 am: Flute Choir Reading Session with Flutist and Composer Kelly Via - bring flutes, piccolos, low flutes and enjoy! FAC 004-Monroe Hall

• 11 am: Repair and Maintenance with Flutist and Repair Expert Keith Hanlon - Turner Jazz Center (TJC)

• Noon: Lunch* - TJC

• 1 pm: Flute Choir Rehearsal with Kelly Via - bring flutes, piccolos, low flutes! This flute choir will be included on the closing studio recital. Sheslow Auditorium

• Open times for lessons/coachings with Dr. Leslie Marrs - TJC
• Option for a mini tour of fine arts facilities and the Drake campus with Drake flutists

• 3 pm: Drake Flute Studio Recital with Kelly Via conducting flute choir - Sheslow Auditorium

*Pizza will be provided for lunch in Turner Jazz Center or you may eat on your own.
