Join Jim Stuart as he explores and discusses the local dragonfly population at Rio Grande Nature Center's Discovery Pond.

Jim Stuart, a former wildlife biologist, retired in 2025 from the NM Department of Game & Fish (now the Department of Wildlife) after 25 years. Although he specialized in mammals, reptiles, and amphibians over his career, he became interested in our state's dragonflies and damselflies (collectively called Odonates) about 15 years ago. He found that watching and photographing Odonates is an awesome addition to any summertime birding trip.
