Flutter into motion with silent discos and performances from Hook and Loop.Discover a dazzling line-up of dragonfly-themed events and activities at WWT Slimbridge this summer.
Festival goers, young and young-at-heart can come together and celebrate the long summer days. Head to our festival hub in the Visitor Centre to find out what’s on during your visit and mark the start of your great adventure. Colourful flags fly high and welcome you into the vibrant festival atmosphere.
And don’t miss our headliners! For the ultimate memory-making moments, dart down for our special event weekends. Next up is our Dragonfly Dance Party, a weekend of music and dance activities - all surrounded by our wonderful wetlands.

Move, make, and play – nature style! Join us for a day of dancing, playful music-making, and dragonfly magic.
Silent Disco, 11am – 1pm & 2 – 4pm
Pop on a pair of headphones and dance like no one’s watching – surrounded by nature, fresh air, and good vibes. Free, drop in and join in the fun from the Estuary Shoreline Garden.
Hook and Loop – the Singing Dragonfly
Keep an eye (and ear!) out for Hook and Loop, singing dragonfly performers, who will be roaming around the wetlands throughout the weekend.
Drop-in Activities
Hula hoops – Wiggle, spin, and swirl. Fun for little ones and grown-ups alike!
Nature Music Makers – Tap, splash, and play with natural materials like sticks, stones, logs, and water. See what sounds you can create!
Sound Machines – Use clever tools to help you hear the hidden music of nature — rustling leaves, babbling water, the breeze in the reeds…
Cost: All activities are free with admission ticket.
