Embrace the transformative journey with me!
In 2020, I embarked on a life-changing dissertation journey through the University of Southern Indiana, an experience that not only reshaped my perspective but also deepened my commitment to growth.
Yet, my passion for family and community engagement wasn't born overnight - it was ignited at age 14, fueled by life's experiences, service, and an unwavering dedication to collective uplift.
As I actively pursued my dissertation, community members encouraged me to share my research findings, of course starting with the local community. In Chapter 5 of my dissertation, I made a promise to honor that request.
Now, with humility and openness, I'm thrilled to announce that I'll be sharing the groundbreaking findings of my dissertation research. This conversation will spotlight the vital importance of partnerships between schools, communities, and families, with a special focus on insights rooted in the voices of Black Community Educational Leadership.
My aim is to ensure this research transcends the confines of academia and communities, instead becoming a catalyst for action, reflection, and meaningful change. As a practitioner driven by impact, I believe this research belongs to the community.
All are welcome to attend - youth, families, educators, and stakeholders alike. Please refer to the flier for more details and don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions. I'm excited to share this work - and my journey - with you.
