Dr. Sketchy's Baltimore: Life Drawing + Burlesque feat. Miss Dollie Darlin'

A livelier life drawing event, Dr. Sketchy’s is where artists of all levels draw fabulous burlesque and variety performers. Enjoy delicious cocktails and compete in zany drawing contests to win free drinks and other awesome prizes! We’ll start off with quick 1- and 2-minute gesture poses and gradually move up to 20-minute sketches. No drawing experience is necessary; just bring your own drawing materials—plus generous cash tips for our model—and join us for some fun figure sketching practice!

After a little winter break, we're back at Mobtown Ballroom for our first session of 2025, and we're super excited to have the lovely Miss Dollie Darlin' posing and performing for you! Here's a little bit about our February muse:

"Dress her up, she's your doll! Miss Dollie Darlin’ is a Baltimore-born bombshell, but got her start in sunny Savannah, Georgia, gracing the stages of the Tied and Tasseled Cabaret and The Savannah Sweet Tease since 2021. These days you can find her twirling her way through her home city of Baltimore, Maryland. A proud member of the House of Threats, she takes inspiration from fashion, drag, and theater. Known for her captivating costumes, love of dance, and flair for the dramatics, she brings a whole lot of heart to every performance. Miss Dollie Darlin’ is one name you won’t forget!"

Come early to get the best seats and a drink—and even a delicious dinner—then stay after we wrap up to share your work with fellow artists over one last drink at the bar.

Doors at 6:00 pm, drawing from 7-10 pm. 18+ to draw, 21+ to drink. $15 in advance, $18 at the door, plus service fees for online and in-person credit card transactions. BYO drawing supplies. No photography, messy paints, or dip pens, please (watercolors are fine).
