About this Event

With hits like "Sunshine of Your Love," "Lay Down Sally," "Layla" and "Tears in Heaven," Eric Clapton is one of the most beloved performers of all time. Dr. Mike Daley Presents: The Eric Clapton Story is a concert and talk celebrating his life and music, featuring renowned music historian Dr. Mike Daley on guitar and vocals, Selena Evangeline on guitar and vocals, Greg Wyard on bass and vocals, Adam Warner on drums and vocals, and Jill Daley on piano, organ and violin.

You'll learn about Eric's early years on the British blues scene cutting his teeth with the Yardbirds, John Mayall's Bluebreakers, and Cream, followed by the shape-shifting solo career that he has maintained to this day. He has redefined rock guitar and racked up an impressive roster of hits despite personal struggles; after overcoming crippling addictions he has prevailed as a beloved classic artist into the present. The latest in a monthly series that has included sold-out lecture-concerts on David Bowie, Billy Joel, Gordon Lightfoot, Tina Turner and the Beach Boys, Dr. Mike Daley Presents: The Eric Clapton Story is a must-see for any music fan.

Dr. Mike Daley is a musician and musicologist known across the GTA for his lectures and performances. Selena Evangeline (The Tina Turner Story, The Fleetwood Mac Story) is a sought-after guitarist-singer with international touring credits. Greg Wyard (The Beatles Story, The Cat Stevens and Jim Croce Story) is a popular guitarist/bassist and singer. Adam Warner (The Guess Who Story, The Rolling Stones Story) is an established multi-instrumentalist and music educator. Jill Daley (all shows) is a full-time musician at Canada's National Ballet School and, like Mike, is part of the music team at Redeemer.

Church of the Redeemer is a spacious and comfortable (cushioned chairs, not pews)1879 church with excellent sightlines and acoustics. It is conveniently located in Yorkville, close to Bay and Museum subway stations, ample parking and fine restaurants.

General admission tickets are $35.00 plus HST and processing fee. These events usually sell out, but if tickets are available at the door, they will be $50.00, cash only. Ticket holders will check in at the door - there is no need to bring a paper or digital ticket.
