Dr Maloof will discuss the special attributes of ancient forests, and the unique biodiversity they contain. She will discuss the work of the Old-Growth Forest Network, a nonprofit organization she founded, and share pointers for preserving ancient forests. She is the author of numerous books about trees and forests and is happy to sign any brought by attendees. Books will be available for purchase.
6 to 7 PM will be silent auction featuring local artist works using the natural world around us
Joan will speak and answer questions from 7 to 8 PM
