Dr Caroline Magennis is Reader in Twentieth and Twenty-First Century Literature at the University of Salford, Manchester, UK. Dr Magennis has written widely on Northern Irish culture and literature. Her books include Sons of Ulster: Masculinities in the Contemporary Northern Irish Novel (2010) and Northern Irish Writing After the Troubles: Intimacies, Affects, Pleasures (2021).
