Dr. Ann Dillard: Trauma-Informed Tutoring

Join Dr. Ann Dillard for an insightful session on Trauma-Informed Tutoring! Children bring their experiences, including trauma and resilience, into the learning environment. At East Side Learning Center, many students face challenges like poverty and systemic racism. Volunteer tutors will be provided with tools and insights to understand how these factors affect learning. The focus is on fostering safety, trust, and connection to ensure every student feels valued and capable of thriving.

She will share her expertise and personal experiences to help us build trust, strengthen connections, and create safe, supportive environments with practical tools and inspiring insights.
