18th Annual Crawfish Boil & Concert - Doyle Marshall Memorial Scholarship Fundraiser - Cornhole/Horseshoe Tourneys, Raffles, Food Truck, etc
About this Event

Come on out on March 28, 2026 for THE 18th ANNUAL DOYLE BOIL & have a great time with us!

Our 18th annual CRAWFISH BOIL is not just an excuse for everyone to come together in the Pineywoods to have a great time, with good company, listen to some amazing live music, & tear up some crawfish; this event is held for a good cause: THE DOYLE MARSHALL MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND - take a look @DoyleBoil on Facebook & Instagram or www.doyleboil.com

This year we will have an awesome live music lineup coming in from throughout the great state of Texas; ARTIST ANNOUNCEMENTS ROLLING OUT SOON!

THIS IS WHY IT'S THE DOYLE BOIL:

~~All proceeds raised will go to THE DOYLE MARSHALL MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND. We established and began distributing this scholarship in 2014, but for the last several years, we have been A REGISTERED 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, which benefits the Fund and donors. This fund is solely used to provide annual scholarships to local graduating seniors who best exhibit the hard-working, kind, and generous nature of our Papaw and hero, Doyle Marshall. Despite polio confining him to crutches his entire life, no one ever saw him as disabled. He worked harder than any man with two good legs, all while having a unique way of mixing an insatiable drive with the most compassionate and generous heart.

~~Doyle was a leader dedicated to helping his community and anyone that he came into contact with, so we are trying to keep his spirit alive by continuing to help others in his honor.

~~To reach the Crawfish Boil location on Slocum Road (ACR 1210), many of you will take Anderson County Road 1209, which has been named "Doyle Marshall Road" - he built and ran the general store on the corner, constructed several of the neighborhood homes for numerous families, served as a master plumber in the area, a mayor, and one of the most well-liked & respected men to ever grace Texas.

WHAT'S IN STORE:

As the script calls for, there'll be plenty of crawfish, live music with a massive NEW sound system, cornhole & horseshoe tournaments, a BIG bonfire, raffles, silent auctions, a food truck, and more. If y'all aren't familiar with how the parties get down at Pineyweeds, prepare yourself for one hell of a great time!

COLE BARNHILL - (7:30-9:00 PM)

Hailing from what he proudly calls “the music capital of the world,” Lubbock, TX, Cole Barnhill kicked off his music career at just 17 years old—cutting his teeth in local bars with his band. In the years since, he’s carved out a signature Texas Rock sound that blends raw energy, melodic vocals, and heavy guitars. The result? Millions of streams across platforms and a fiercely loyal fanbase that stretches far beyond state lines.

Known for their electrifying live performances, Cole and his band deliver a high-octane, no-frills rock show that leaves a lasting impression. Whether it’s a packed club in Austin or a festival crowd in Oklahoma, they bring unmatched energy that gets every crowd on their feet.

After Cole exploded onto the scene with his first collaboration, “Daydreams” with giants in the scene, Treaty Oak Revival, Cole is now rolling out his first EP since his debut album, “Welcome To My World”. The first single offers a glimpse of what’s to come “Run,” a gritty, guitar-driven anthem that showcases Cole’s sharp songwriting and undeniable momentum.

With a fresh sound in an oversaturated scene, Cole Barnhill is quickly becoming a name to watch in modern rock and Texas Red Dirt country—and he’s just getting started.

CRAWFISH & FOOD:

~~Children 12 & under are $10, and 13+ is $35/person IN ADVANCE & $50/per person at the gate, so buy early to save $$$. That gets you ALL YOU CAN EAT CRAWFISH, fixings, & great live music from professional artists. The money raised all goes to the DOYLE MARSHALL MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND, so know that your hard-earned money is not resulting in any profit but is being used to build the scholarship fund to help fund more local kids’ post-high school education expenses.

~~Buying tickets in advance help ensure a proper head count, so we can get the right amount of crawfish & fixings. We will not be cooking all night long, so if you get here after dark, don’t be surprised if we are done boiling. Once the crawfish are all cooked, that's it...as the saying goes, if you snooze, you lose! So come early, be loud, and stay late.

~~JT'S WARTHOG CREOLE KITCHEN Food Truck will also be there for those that don't want crawfish and want to purchase other tasty food.

RAFFLE/GOODIES:

~~Along with the admission proceeds, money raised from lots of awesome RAFFLE & SILENT AUCTION items, goes directly to the DOYLE MARSHALL MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND.

Raffle & Silent Auction Items will be announced later on our social media page(s)

TIME/LODGING/LOCATION:

~~If y'all want to come the night before, or earlier than the posted start time on Saturday, COME ON! This is really an all day/night affair & the actual CRAWFISH will be BOILED to be served at 5:30 p.m.

~~If you want to bring your RV/Camper or tents, you’re encouraged to do so. We’ll have a dedicated spot for y’all to put each. We will have access to water for you, but no sewer or electric. You’re encouraged to stay the night and stay off the roads so we can make sure to have you all back next year. Email or call me for details on camping.

~~We'll also have limited space for people to stay the night Friday and/or Saturday, especially if you're coming from out of town. We will have rooms, air mattresses, pickup beds, & some gracious neighbors. If you prefer to have some privacy out on the farm to chill or just want to explore, we can hook you up so you can pitch a tent deep in the pine trees or even hang a hammock down by the creek or one of the ponds. The bass on our 5 acre pond are coming up on three years old and have been treated really well, so they are a fun catch.

~~You also have hotel options about 30 minutes away in both Crockett (south) or Palestine (north) if you prefer.

DIRECTIONS:

~~473 Slocum Road Grapeland, TX 75844 is the address; if you punch in "Pineyweeds" in Google Maps, it should lead you right in. Here are some pretty dead on GPS coordinates to our front entrance: 31.5965, -95.37. We are pretty far out in the woods, but that is part of what makes this event so fun!

~~There will be signs to lead you in once you get off the FM road(s) onto the county road(s), but definitely call if you have a hard time finding it.

~~You’ll know it when you see it - the gate says "Pineyweeds" with two Longhorn logos on it & a scene of pine trees.

ETC.:

~~If you're curious if there's anything you can bring, ICE is always a big need. Other than that, you can't have too many snacks, bottles of water, beer, etc.

~~If you want to throw something else in the boil, feel free to bring some shrimp or crab legs, and we'll be happy to cook 'em up for ya as long as it's before dark.

~~Boots are probably a good idea if you don't plan on standing on the limited amount of concrete all night - plus, they're better for two-stepping! Also, the weather this time of year can be a bit unpredictable, so bringing an extra set of clothes and dressing in layers is recommended.

~~If you bring your ATVs, we just ask that everyone (especially kids) please be safe and *ride at your own risk* - there are some rough/dangerous areas. The Scholarship Fund nor the property owners assume any responsibility for injuries that occur. Please contact us to let us know if you are bringing any kind of ATV, so we can make sure we know you're out there and provide you with a list of approved riding areas.

WE'RE EXCITED TO SEE EVERYONE, AND WE'RE LOOKING FORWARD TO Y'ALL HELPING US CONTINUE TO MAKE THIS SPECIAL EVENT BIGGER AND BETTER EACH YEAR!

HOLLER AT CHRIS, ADRIANN, OR APRIL IF Y'ALL NEED ANYTHING OR HAVE ANY QUESTIONS.
