Our premier fall event in downtown Parkersburg is the Downtown Throwdown Food & Beer Festival. The Throwdown highlights include beer, delicious food items from a variety of local food vendors, and great live entertainment. Advance tickets are $20 and $25 at the gate. To purchase tickets, go to https://www.downtownpkb.com/event-tickets.NEW THIS YEAR - THE DOWNTOWN THROWDOWN WILL BE A CASHLESS EVENT. ATTENDEES WILL NEED TO PAY WITH A DEBIT OR CREDIT CARD FOR ADMISSION, BEER, AND PURCHASES AT THE CONCESSION STAND.

Payment For Food & Drinks
Some food vendors may accept cash. It is up to the individual food vendor to determine their form of payment. You will need a debit or credit card to purchase beer and drinks from the concession stand.

PODA Cups
Participants will be given a recyclable PODA cup with their first drink. The cups can be reused throughout the evening. Please properly dispose of these cups in the recycling cans around the event. Thank you in advance for helping to keep the area clean.
When using a PODA cup, you are permitted to leave the event with your drink as long as you stay within the PODA district, which is on Market Street from 3rd to 9 1/2 Street. There are PODA stickers on the sidewalks to mark the boundaries of the district.

Taylor Sams Band
Taylor Sams is an accomplished local country music artist from Washington, WV. Taylor grew up singing in church, which is the reason behind his soulful vocals. He began his career by winning the local “Texaco Country Showdown” in 2011. In 2012, he joined Sydney Hutchko to form the duo “Blue Ridge Honey.“ The duo joined Josh Thompson’s tour, played at Jamboree in the Hills, and opened for Florida Georgia Line at Heinz Field. The duo also was successful in landing a sponsorship with Southern Curves Vodka out of Savannah, GA. In 2014, Taylor picked back up a solo career and has since opened for many of country music greats Travis Tritt, Joe Diffie, Marty Stuart, and Ronnie Dunn to name a few. Today, Taylor enjoys being with his wife and two daughters, while singing around the state for the great people of West Virginia!
Jake Binegar Band
Jake Binegar is a country music singer and songwriter from the Mid-Ohio Valley. A breath of fresh air to the country music world with his smooth vocals and authentic story-telling lyrics, Jake is excited to share his story with you. He is known for his high-energy performances and his ability to connect with his audience. Whether you're a longtime fan or a first-time listener, Jake's music is sure to leave an impression.

Smoking & Vaping
Smoking and vaping is not permitted within the event, however, there is a designated area near the event. The area is located in the alley behind The Blennerhassett Hotel. A sign will be posted.
