Downtown Evanston is excited to share Downtown Summer Sounds, a free outdoor concert series on Thursdays, 5-7PM from July 11 to September 26.
Join us on July 18 for a kids concert by The Dreamtree Shakers, a high-energy band that plays music for kids of all ages! The band sound is comprised of vocal harmonies, percussion, bass, saxophone, flute, guitar and harmonica. The concert is presented in partnership with Evanston Early Childhood Council and Old Town School of Folk Music who will provide fun kids activities during the event.
During the concerts, there will be beer for sale from Sketchbook Brewing Co., and wine, cocktails and soft drinks for sale from Five & Dime. There will also be ice cream for sale from the C&W Market & Ice Cream Parlor and other Evanston-based food trucks! After the music ends, be sure to make plans for dinner in Downtown Evanston!

Please note that the concert will take place on Sherman and Orrington Avenues, which will both be closed to vehicle traffic between Grove and Davis Street. If you're driving into Downtown Evanston for the concert series, we recommend parking in the Sherman Plaza Self Park garage--it's only a block away from Fountain Square.
