Join us for the Downtown Holiday Hop, a festive experience for families to explore local establishments and enjoy a variety of holiday happenings. This interactive event features fun crafts and activities as well as seasonal treats.
The Downtown Holiday Hop is designed for children ages 4-14 and grownups can join with or without a ticket. Participation in the tastings and activities is exclusive to ticket holders. Make cherished memories together in the heart of Pittsburgh, surrounded by the festive sights and sounds of holiday cheer!
Food, drink and activity stops will include:
• Omni William Penn | Blitzen's Reindeer Mix with granola, pretzels, and M&M's
• Hot Cocoa Tasting in Mellon Square Park, provided by Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy
• DIY Reindeer Food Activity with WQED in Mellon Square Park
• DIY Ornament Activity with WQED in Mellon Square Park
• 1:11 Juice Tasting | Cranberry Oat Energy Balls, as well as Cranberry Royale or Merry Berry Juice in Mellon Square
• Take Home a Book | Choose from two books to take home from Made in PGH in Mellon Square
• Ritual House Tasting | Try Cereasly Awesome Cookies and Milk at Ritual House, made with Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal milk, vanilla, cinnamon, and a cinnamon sugar rim (Those 21+ can add some extra holiday spirit!)
• Story Time with WQED at the Union Trust Building followed by an activity to make your own bookmarks
• The Speckled Egg Tasting | beef and pork meatballs with tomato sauce and parmesan cheese
• Millie's Homemade Tasting | your choice of ice cream and holiday sprinkles
The Yard Tasting | Homemade, deep fried Mac’n’Cheese Ball
Take a trolley ride to experience the magic around Market Square, including samplings at Millie’s and Cafe Momentum, vendors at the Peoples Gas Holiday Market and more!
In the holiday spirit, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy to support their work in bringing life and magic to Pittsburgh’s parks.
