About the Tour: Explore Cleveland’s deep-rooted sports culture, where the love of the game extends far beyond the stadium. This tour traces the city’s athletic spirit from early horse racing along dirt roads to neighborhood boxing clubs, sandlot games, and the rise of professional teams. Along the way, discover the places, people, and stories that shaped Cleveland’s identity through sport—including the people and moments that brought the city together. More than wins and losses, this experience reveals how sports have long been woven into Cleveland’s neighborhoods, traditions, and everyday life.
