The Downtown Brookings Master Plan will strategically shape the future of downtown Brookings by establishing a shared vision for future community and economic development. It is intended to be a long-term vision that will guide aspects such as land use, urban design, and housing to ensure a welcoming, vibrant, connected downtown area for the foreseeable future. The plan will aim to improve the overall walkability and connectivity of downtown Brookings with the existing neighborhoods and businesses, enhance the attractiveness, and preserve the historic character. The study area encompasses several blocks on all sides of Main Avenue.
