Kelly's Olympian and The Jack London Revue present a Downtown Bloc Party!

Shaylee - Facebook | Instagram | Twitter

Shaylee is the power pop/post-rock power trio you never knew you needed in your life. Fronted by Elle Archer’s shredding lead guitar, backed by Nate Anderson’s propulsive drumming, and held down by Robin Cook’s rock solid bass lines, their songs ring out like anthems for a queer generation. For fans of Courtney Barnett, Big Star, Neil Young, and Elliott Smith.

Jack Habegger's Celebrity Telethon - Instagram

Hailing from Portland, OR by way of Olympia, WA, Jack Habegger’s Celebrity Telethon takes a uniquely northwestern approach to alternative country. The band has made a name for itself fashioning a sound that jangles, rumbles, and, most importantly, twangs. While Bandcamp chose their 2021 EP “Oy Vey!” as a “New and Notable” release and described it as a “sweet slice of introspective, homespun country-folk,” the band’s live show is a different animal. JHCT rips through revved-up honky tonk numbers, tear-in-your-beer ballads, and even country-funk dance tunes. Echoes of the cowpunk movement can be heard, as well as the Cosmic American sounds of ‘70s LA. Jack and his band served as sometime touring members of the legendary outsider country act Lavender Country in their final years, playing protopunk protest music from the band’s 1973 debut as well as tunes by Woody Guthrie and Hank Williams (not to mention playing JHCT sets as an opening act). This work as hired guns absolutely inspired the band in spirit and form. Look out for JHCT’s debut album out this year on Lung Records.

Abronia - Facebook

Consisting of two guitars, bass, tenor saxophone, pedal steel, and one giant drum, Abronia makes music that takes inspiration from Spaghetti Western soundtracks, spiritual free jazz, drone metal, Tuareg guitar bands, 80's goth, outlaw country, Krautrock, 60's psychedelia, and deserts.

Both delicate and enormous, Abronia has carved out its own very singular sonic space within the broader psych rock universe.

They have released three full length albums since 2017. Their most recent, Map of Dawn, was released in May of 2022 by Cardinal Fuzz (UK & the World) and Feeding Tube Records (N. America).

Summer 2022 saw their first European/UK tour, which included an appearance at the Supersonic Festival in Birmingham, UK.

“Abronia makes music for scorched planets–conjuring images of rattlesnakes in the burning sun, determined and dangerous.” –Post-Trash
