Take a self-guided jaunt downtown and visit local galleries! At the Delaplaine, artist and art educator Michelle Venable will demonstrate how she creates her watercolor batik paintings. She will also sell her Floriography greeting cards and jewelry for Valentines Day.
Michelle Venable is a visual artist and art educator. Her watercolor batik paintings are inspired by the natural world around her and express the beneficial relationships between plants, pollinators, and people. She strives to use environmentally friendly materials to create her art, including handmade papers and paints, and beeswax from her own hives.
