Whether you’re a seasoned artist or chalk enthusiast, we invite you to turn the sidewalk into your canvas during this special First Friday Fest celebration.
This year’s theme — “Heartland Stories” — invites artists to explore the spirit of the Midwest: resilience, kindness, quiet strength, and creative connection. Your artwork can be literal or abstract, deeply personal or widely relatable. Let your chalk tell a story rooted in place and purpose.

Location: On Douglas Avenue at the Ruffin Building in downtown, between Broadway and Topeka.
