Wellington College’s Armour Institute is excited to host Doug Lemov and his team for a two-day workshop in January 2026.
Doug will be covering some of his key concepts such as, Lesson Preparation, Checking for Understand, Lesson Structure, and Habits of Discussion.
Lemov’s work is incredibly influential, and we are pleased to offer a limited number of places for teachers across Aotearoa to attend this workshop.

About Doug Lemov
Doug Lemov is a world-renowned educator based in the United States who has transformed classrooms with his teaching techniques. He helped found the Uncommon Schools (a nonprofit school management organisation) that has seen many students experience success.
His book, Teach Like a Champion (now in its 3rd edition), has sold over one million copies worldwide, and Doug has published several other books — most recently, the Teach Like a Champion Guide to the Science of Reading (2025).
