Double Vision Youth Jazz Workshop + Jam
About this Event
Double Vision Youth Jazz Workshop + Jam
Young jazz musicians are invited to a free afternoon workshop and jam session with Double Vision Jazz Ensemble at Batch Craft Beer & Kolaches.
This event is designed for students and emerging players who want to build confidence playing jazz in a supportive, real-world setting. Participants will explore improvisation, listening, rhythm, jazz forms, ensemble interaction, and how to join a jam session.
Students are encouraged to bring their instruments. Vocalists are welcome. Families, teachers, and jazz supporters are also welcome to attend.
Free RSVP is encouraged to help us plan student participation, seating, and the jam-session format. Walk-ins are welcome as space allows.
Presented by H Project Performing Arts Association with Double Vision Jazz Ensemble, in connection with Austin Jazz Society youth jazz outreach.
