Double Knot, formerly known as Finnegan Blue, returns to Strings Music Festival this summer as a seven-piece ensemble following their Strings School Days residency earlier this year, where they worked side-by-side with the Steamboat Springs High School Jazz Band and Concert Band.
Blending Celtic traditions, bluegrass drive, and New Orleans–style second line grooves with a punk rock spirit, Double Knot delivers a sound that is both deeply rooted and unmistakably modern. Led by sibling songwriters and multi-instrumentalists Anna Lee Fleming and Willie Fleming, the band’s music reflects generations of influence and a shared belief that music is meant to be experienced together.
Known for their electrifying, improvisation-driven performances, Double Knot stretches songs in real time—building energy, shifting dynamics, and creating moments of spontaneity that draw audiences into the music. With General Admission seating and a dance area, this is a night designed to move—inviting listeners to jump in, find the groove, and be part of the experience.
