This trip is about more than digging. It’s about sharing meals, sitting around a campfire, making memories, meeting new friends, and spending time with people who share a passion for rocks, minerals, and adventure.
⛏️ TWO FULL DAYS AT RUSSELL’S FAMILY MINE
One of the advantages of this trip is spending two full days at Russell’s Family Mine. If you’ve ever spent hours opening a ledge, working a pocket, or uncovering a promising area, you know how exciting it is to return the next day and continue where you left off. You can revisit your previous spot or start fresh in a new area. Two consecutive days of digging often means more opportunities, more discoveries, and more fun.
🏕️ CAMPING INFORMATION
Camping load-in begins Friday evening and Saturday evening at 5:30 PM.
Bring your:
• Tent
• Vehicle
Please note:
• Primitive camping only
• Not equipped for motorhomes or RVs
• Bring your own drinking water
• A clean port-o-potty is available on the property
🍔 COMMUNITY DINNER & CAMPFIRE
Bring a dish or dessert to share.
Burgers and hot dogs will be provided by ECGMS.
Please bring your own beverages and water.
After a day of digging, join us around the campfire for connection, laughter, storytelling, and community. The campfire is about friendship, gratitude, sharing experiences, releasing stress, and celebrating the adventure together.

Russell’s is known for its family atmosphere, welcoming owners, and positive energy. This mine offers opportunities for ledge digging, pocket hunting, some dirt digging, and uncovering beautiful Little Falls water-clear Herkimer Diamonds.
Possible finds include:
• Water-clears
• Scepters
• Skeletal crystals
• Pocket crystals
• Matrix specimens
Bob and Wendy are always nearby to offer guidance, encouragement, and help make your experience enjoyable.

Crystal Daze Mine

Crystal Daze is a newer mine, and we’re excited to visit, explore, and show our support. As a club, we believe in building positive relationships, encouraging fellow mine owners, and helping strengthen the rockhounding community. This is a great opportunity to experience a different style of digging, get your hands in the earth, and see what treasures may be waiting below the surface. Dirt digging rewards patience, persistence, and a willingness to put in the work. Let’s bring our positive energy, open minds, and adventurous spirits as we welcome Crystal Daze Mine and create a fun, memorable day together.
