Grey River & The Smoky Mountain, one of Athens' most distinctive contemporary folk ensembles, bring their acclaimed Americana-inspired sound to the stage. Blending influences from American, Irish, and European folk traditions with elements of bluegrass, country, and blues, the band creates a rich musical landscape that bridges cultures and traditions while reflecting the international spirit of the Greek folk scene. Fronted by Rena Papageorgiou (vocals, mandolin), alongside Sarantos Goumakos (guitar, vocals) and Tasos Gousetis (violin), the trio delivers performances marked by powerful storytelling, emotional depth, and exceptional musicianship. Having appeared at numerous festivals and concert venues across Greece and abroad, Grey River & The Smoky Mountain have established themselves as one of Greece's most internationally active folk acts.
Award-winning singer-songwriter Lia Hide presents a captivating live performance featuring highlights from her acclaimed artistic career alongside material inspired by her multidisciplinary project "The Missing Fourth Guest," based on Plato's Timaeus—the philosopher's only cosmological dialogue and one of the foundational texts associated with the myth of Atlantis. Exploring themes of absence, creation, and the search for meaning, the performance unfolds as a contemporary artistic experience where music, philosophy, and visual storytelling converge. Her "Sonata of Timaeus", structured in three movements—Proposal, Cloud, and Dinner—blends dark wave, post-punk, trip-hop, and jazz into an atmospheric and deeply evocative sonic journey. In this concept, the audience becomes the symbolic "fourth guest," actively completing the artistic experience through its presence.
