Join us for a captivating presentation on Andrew Jackson Grayson, the founder of Grayson, CA, and a remarkable yet often overlooked ornithologist and artist.Sal Salerno, park docent and president of the Stanislaus Audubon Society, will bring Grayson’s legacy to life, sharing the fascinating story of his art and contributions to the study of California and Mexico’s birdlife.
Following the presentation, participants are invited to take part in an optional rock painting activity and a guided walk along the pond loop trail, offering a chance to reflect on Grayson’s artistic and scientific achievements while enjoying nature!

Turn left onto State Highway 33 (CA-33).
Turn right onto Grayson Rd (CR-J16) toward Grayson Rd. Go for 3.6 mi.
Turn left onto Shiloh Rd. Go for 2.6 mi.
Soon after the sharp turns by the farm you'll see a White fence along the left side of road, with signs and a large black gate, TURN LEFT at the gate
Continue down to the end of the road and turn Right towards the visitor area.
