It's nearly the time of year where we celebrate winter and ask for a good apple harvest.
Join the Box Hill Bedlam Morris and the Dorking Community Orchard in the annual Wassail on Saturday 11 January 2025. A great family event!
3:00pm - dancing with Box Hill Bedlam Morris, Huginn and Muninn Morris, Moonshine Border Morris
4:00pm - crowning the Wassail Queen
4:30pm - procession around the Orchard
5:00pm - the Wassailing ceremony commences around the fire.
This is a great community event with a bonfire to keep warm, food, marshmallows, mulled cider and apple juice.
Wrap up warm and bring a torch and something to bang to make a noise to ward off the bad spirits at the orchard so the good spirits can come and bring a plentiful harvest.
This is a free event for the community.
Please be aware it is held in a field so suitable footwear is encouraged and there are no toilet facilities on site.
