The Doris Brendel Duo play a Little Ember Session at the Talbot in Oundle with support from Minnie Birch.
We are so pleased to welcome back Doris and Lee to Oundle for a session since Doris was unwell the last time and it couldn't make it.

Come and catch one of Doris and Lee’s highly entertaining acoustic shows! Quirky, catchy and a whole lot of banter.
Doris has worked with some notable artists over the years, including Alvin Lee, Gary Moore, Sam Brown, Joe Brown and Herbie Flowers, and has toured extensively with Marillion as well as Nils Lofgren, John Farnham and Steve Marriott. She was also invited to sing with Pink Floyd on the Great Gig in the Sky tour, but had to decline due to already-contracted tour commitments. She recently sang backing vocals on Fish’s acclaimed album ‘Weltschmerz’.
Together with Lee Dunham they have just released their 5th studio album ‘Pigs Might Fly’, but Brendel has an incredible 19 albums to her name, not counting features and session work. These include 5 ‘Acoustic’ albums recorded between 2019-2023 and 3 live albums, as well as some back catalogue releases.
As well as playing some shows with their band, Brendel and Dunham have been playing a number of live and unplugged acoustic shows full of stories, fun and great music.

Minnie Birch is a folk pop artist from Hertfordshire UK. She was BBC Radio 1s introducing artist of the week, Buzzfeed's "one to watch" and received awards and critical aclaim in national press for her original compositions on life, love, loss and fairytale. She released a Sunday Times Top 100 record of the year with a unique album based on songs heard on the football terraces. Minnie has toured extensively across the UK, Europe and across Nashville USA.
An intriguing and unusual artist, Minnie was forced to take a career break when she was diagnosed with a rare cancer, a diagnosis which turned her world on its head and also effected the mobility in her right harm. Minnie struggled through extensive physio to get back to playing her piano and guitar. Her new songs are a testament to the hope and the love you can find in your darkest hours. She is looking forward to sharing them with you. Prepare to have your heart put in a soft spin, wrung out, hung out to dry and handed back to you ready to wear to the party again.
