MOCA London is pleased to present Kunstkammer or Cabinet of Curiosities, a live performance by choreographer Dora Frankel and composer Peter Coyte.

Kunstkammer or Cabinet of Curiosities, is a collaboration between Dora Frankel and Peter Coyte that fuses dance, spontaneous composition, and with aural and movement improvisation, creating intimate, immersive, site-responsive performances. This performance is enriched and extended by an experimental film, created using spontaneous editing by video artist Mark Watson, aka Dizqo.

Both artists use improvisation and internal and external stimuli to create, and either can start the process. The Kunstkammer “curiosities”, or sections, may or may not relate, but consistent themes include the environment, the loss of habitat, the body in space and time, vulnerability, and strength. These radical and accessible performances are dependent on audience feedback to continue to develop.

Frankel’s choreography, accompanied by Coyte’s composition, unfolds across both the interior of the gallery and the space outside MOCA London, extending the work beyond the conventional boundaries of the exhibition space.

Through this movement between inside and outside, Kunstkammer or Cabinet of Curiosities invites audiences to experience the gallery not simply as a place of display, but as an active environment for performance, encounter and discovery.

This marks the second dance work by Dora Frankel to be presented at MOCA London, following her dance film Tread Lightly on the Planet, presented as part of the inaugural MOCA Movements programme in February 2026.
