Doppler in Maternal–Fetal Medicine From Theory to Hands-on Practice
About this Event
Dear colleagues,
Join us for a one-day hybrid course on Doppler assessment in pregnancy, led by Professor Asma Khalil.
This clinically focused, case-based course will cover Doppler ultrasound in obstetrics and maternal–fetal medicine, from the underlying physiology to practical clinical application. Focused lectures, real clinical cases and hands-on rotating stations will help participants develop both the technical skills required to obtain accurate Doppler waveforms and the confidence to interpret their findings in clinical practice.
Event details:
Date: Sunday, 22 November 2026
Time: 08:30–18:00 UK time
Location: Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG), London
Format: Hybrid – attend in person or join live online
Why Attend?
- Strengthen your practical skills: Learn how to obtain accurate Doppler waveforms and avoid common technical errors.
- Improve clinical interpretation: Understand how Doppler findings inform the assessment and management of high-risk pregnancies.
- Learn from an expert: Receive focused teaching led by Professor Asma Khalil.
- Apply learning to real cases: Explore clinical scenarios involving fetal growth restriction, pre-eclampsia, twin pregnancy, fetal anaemia and congenital infection.
- Gain hands-on experience: On-site participants will practise key Doppler assessments at rotating practical stations.
- Choose how to attend: Join the course in person at RCOG in London or participate live online.
- Receive a certificate: All eligible participants will receive a certificate of attendance.
