To celebrate Doors Open Day 2026, Lauriston Castle will open its doors for you to wander through some of the rooms containing the wonderful collection of furniture, prints and object d’art left to the nation by the final private owners, Mr & Mrs Reid in 1926. Marking the centenary of this wonderful gift to the nation, step into this unique time capsule and be whisked back to the beginning of the 20th Century, to see what life was like for a well to do, self-made middle-class couple in Edinburgh.
Although there will be no charge, we do encourage you to book your timeslot to avoid disappointment. We also welcome donations.
