🎡We are excited to announce that next month, the Dooms Volunteer Fire Company’s 2nd Annual End-of-Summer Carnival is coming to town!
📍Location:
Old Advance Lot
215 W. Main St.
Waynesboro, VA 22980
🎠Opening night will be Wednesday, September 3rd and we will run until Saturday, September 6th.
⌚️We will open each night at 6pm and close at 10pm. Depending on the crowd levels on Friday and Saturday night, we may stay open until 10:30pm-11pm.
🎟️Armbands will be $20 per person if you’d like the unlimited rides. Armbands are still $20 each no matter your age, height, or how many rides you plan to ride. Armbands are sold nightly and are good for that one night only. You can ride all you want until closing time for the price of one armband. When you purchase an armband from the ticket booth, you will receive (1) armband ticket. You must take your armband ticket to the armband table to have your armband placed on your wrist. We do not put on armbands at the ticket booth. If you do not want the armband option, ride tickets are also available. Ride tickets are $1 each. Each ride takes 3-4 tickets. You can also purchase a sheet of (24) tickets for $20. With the ticket options, you can only ride your selected ride once with the correct amount of tickets. To ride again, you would have to purchase more tickets. Tickets are good for the carnival rides only. Tickets are not accepted at any of the games or anywhere selling food. Both armbands and tickets are sold only at the ticket booth.
📋Ride height requirements (how tall you must be to ride each ride) and ride ticket requirements (how many tickets each ride takes) are posted near the ticket sales on a metal 3-sided standing sign.
💛There is no admission fee or cost to just walk around. The only fees you would pay are if you choose to ride the rides, purchase any food, or play any of the games.
🍔We will be making and selling our burgers, hot dogs, fries, and more!
🍿Our carnival company will be making and selling their funnel cakes, fried Oreos, cotton candy, candy apples, caramel apples, popcorn, fresh squeezed lemonade, and more!
🩵We are sorry, but we will not be having Bingo.
💵We only accept cash.
🏧If you do not have cash, there will be (2) ATM machines available on site provided by the carnival company.
🏦If you do not wish to use these ATMs, the closest banks with ATMs are Dupont Community Credit Union at 200 E. Broad St. Waynesboro, VA 22980 which is about 0.4 miles away from the carnival lot or Wells Fargo at 216 S. Wayne Ave. Waynesboro, VA 22980 which is about 0.3 miles away from the carnival lot.
🚫We DO NOT accept any checks, any cards (debit or credit), or any electronic payment methods, i.e. Apple Pay, Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, etc.
🐕‍🦺🐩Dogs are allowed, but they must be leashed at all times per the leash law of the City of Waynesboro.
