DON’T STOP. STAND UP!
About this Event
Don’t Stop. Stand Up! is an exhibition curated by Yabu Pushelberg in partnership with UNAIDS, tracing LGBTQIA+ history from the sexual liberation movements of the 1960s and '70s through the AIDS crisis and the decades of activism, resilience, and survival that followed.
The exhibition honors the communities, activists, artists, and pioneers who transformed public understanding of HIV/AIDS, advancing dignity, human rights, and compassionate healthcare.
“HIV/AIDS affects everyone and touches society at large. It is no longer limited to gay men or historically marginalized communities.”
- George Yabu and Glenn Pushelberg.
This exhibition brings together photography, archival material, and cultural artifacts that trace the social and human history of HIV and AIDS. This initiative supports the UNAIDS 2030 goal of ending new HIV infections through expanded awareness, education, and civic participation.
