Martin Rowson is a multi-award winning cartoonist, illustrator, writer, ranter, graphic novelist and poet from London. His work has appeared everywhere from The Guardian, Morning Star, Tribune and Chartist to The Spectator and The Erotic Review. He has authored, illustrated or contributed in one way or another to 60 books, most notably Scenes From The Lives of the Great Socialists (1983), Lower Than Vermin: An Anatomy of Thatcher’s Britain (1986), and has created stunning comic book adaptations of Gulliver’s Travels and The Communist Manifesto.
Paisley born Trade Unionist by day cartoonist by night Jamie-Max has over a decade’s experience working and organising within the movement. His artwork is stunning and can be seen on leaflets, stained glass, banners he designs and hand-crafts himself and now in a book marking the centenary of the 1926 General Strike. His style is bold, colourful and vibrant, drawing on his knowledge and understanding of the movement to create original works of art that celebrate working class people.
Tom.J is a brilliant cartoonist from the West Midlands. He did the final year of his Uni illustration course during Covid and his last project of cartoons was devoted to the 2020 news. He’s been published in The Guardian, Prass Press Magazine (Bulgaria), Cheapshow Magazine, has done work for charity and is a member of the GMB. Tom has exhibited a number of times including at The Cartoon Museum, London.
Mistress of Line is an autistic, satirical, comic artist, editorial cartoonist, activist, campaign artist and Reiki practitioner from Glasgow. She has provided campaign art for The GMB, Unite, Unison and Glasgow Trades Council. Lorna designed the STRIKE logo for the biggest ever equal pay strike in the UK. She has been published in The National, The Guardian, The Observer, The Independent, The Morning Star, Private Eye, Vice, Idn etc.
